I know it sucks not to finish as well as you thought you were capable of doing. I've been there. I read a quote by Steve Prefontaine once. He said, "I don't run a race to see who's the fastest, I race to see who has the most guts." From the sounds of your race report you left everything you had on the road, and that's all you can ask from yourself. Don't get too tied up in the #'s. Good job and congratulations on a hard run race.
